What is a Gasplasma^® energy from waste facility
Our complete facility has four key stages:

1)  Fuel Preparation:

• A Fuel preparation area treats residual waste to make a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)
• All recyclates are recovered – glass, metals, hard plastics
• Oversized objects and stones are removed
• The resultant material is then shredded and dried to form a quality RDF

2)  The Gasplasma^® process

3)  The syngas cooling and cleaning stage that takes out the acid gases

4)  The power island uses the cooled clean syngas to generate clean renewable energy.

What does a Gasplasma facility mean for me in comparison to alternative options?

• The process is highly electrically efficient
• All bottom ash is vitrified into Plasmarok^® which is a benign, mechanically strong, leachate resistant product
• Emissions that comply with new Industrial Emissions (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) Directive (2010/75/EU) which replaced WID from December 2010.

• The component systems of Gasplasma^® are all proven technologies:
  1. The fuel preparation area uses an industry standard Materials Recovery Facility
  2. The fluid bed gasifier is supplied by EPI who have over 90 reference sites globally
  3. The plasma chamber is supplied by Tetronics Ltd who have over 45 years' experience in plasma technology and over 80 reference sites globally
  4. The power island uses well-proven gas engine/turbine technology
